Bx1880 - Will it fit my needs.

I run the Cyclone Rake “Commander” model behind a BX1870 with a 48” deck. I went small on all three of these (vac, tractor, and deck) because I need to navigate some narrow openings and trails, not to save money. (Though I like to save money. ) I also have some steep hills and the BX18xx has a...

    Leaking Beet Juice

Yeah, I agree that I think the tires deforming a bit under the extra weight is what's triggering this, so I've gone a few PSI over what the manual says for these tires. That may have helped some, but not fixed the problem.

    Leaking Beet Juice

Hard to tell if it's all leaking from one spot, as the tire now has a ring of dried beet juice all around the stem. But I don't think it's leaking much--probably just a few ounces has worked it's way out. I only max out my 3ph when hauling fresh firewood, and just started doing that for this...

    Leaking Beet Juice

One of the rear turf tires on my BX1870 recently started leaking Rim Guard somewhere at the tire bead/rim interface. Tractor is about 4.5 years old, and the the tires are otherwise in fairly good condition. Several months ago one of the plastic tire stems failed, which I learned here on OTT is...

Beet juice explosion, valve stem fail

Fixed! Despite being further away, I decided to start with my Kubota dealer, hoping they would take care of me quickly. And they did: Got both my rear wheels to them around 9AM Saturday morning, and about 30 minutes later they had installed new metal valve stems and topped off the Rim Guard...

Beet juice explosion, valve stem fail

Thanks for the responses. Rim Guard has a web form that once you fill out and submit, sends an automated list of local dealers. I'm in luck that I've got an LS dealer 2 miles away who apparently sells beet juice. Hopefully they'll be able to fix it fast. And yeah, I'm definitely changing...

Beet juice explosion, valve stem fail

Attempting to adjust the rear tire pressure on my BX this evening, I unscrewed the plastic valve cover, but the whole valve came loose from the stem, spraying me and half my garage with beet juice. At first I thought the valve core had come out, but it was actually the whole valve--the outer...

Mower and 3PH counterweight won't stay up.

You may have a good reason to do it the way you do, but personally, I never have a counterweight on when I'm using the mower deck, and almost always have the mower deck off when I'm using the front end loader, which is mostly when I use the counterweight. Having enough garage (or similar) space...

    BX2680 3-Pt Float

Gravity is the only thing holding the 3ph and its attachments down. Not sure if adding more weight is a good option for your snowblower, in which case you may need to slow down to maintain better ground contact.

Mower and 3PH counterweight won't stay up.

Yeah, normal behavior. And the fix is as DustyRusty says: close down the valve all the way that adjusts the hydraulic flow. I’d also use the mower deck height adjustment to keep the deck in “top.” Less weight on the 3ph will slow the drop. Can’t remember the spec for max lift, but 600kg is way...

    Heat?

Wood stove, with all the fuel free from my property and an occasional downed tree from a neighbor. It not only keeps me warm, but necessitates playing with tractors, saws, mauls, and the other fun toys. And I stay more fit than I otherwise would.

    Will a 48" deck fit on a BX23?

I wasn't there to see it, so all I know is what my dealer told me by email: "We actually went out and looked at what the differences were and why Kubota says we can’t put the 48" deck on the 2370. While the mounting brackets all match the rear gauge wheel will be completely against the tires...

    Will a 48" deck fit on a BX23?

I did couch my answer to the fitment issue saying it was for the BX1870, but I'm pretty sure everything about the mount, tires, and clearances is exactly the same as on the BX1880. So: The 48" deck won't the any but the smallest model BX. As I wrote: My dealer tried to make it fit, and then...

    New member, almost owner.Pricing question.

I agree it sounds like a good price. Does it come with a loader? Mower deck? Those would both be expensive to add, but if they're included in that deal, I'd jump on it, assuming it's been well maintained.
