Which tires for my MX: R14 or R4-TL2

Sorry I meant total weight. I edited to correct. I want to be near what it it is spec'd to lift. I don't suppose you're doing this on R14 are you?

Which tires for my MX: R14 or R4-TL2

They are the tires that you get if you order an MX. I looked at them on the lot - the actual tires I would get. Seems like a fair comparison, no? I want to pick up a 2200-ish lbs (fork + bin of firewood) and drive it across the yard. Will an R14 do this well? Is the MX the wrong tractor for...

Which tires for my MX: R14 or R4-TL2

No, I didn't unfortunately I think a slightly larger percentage of the R14 is open space, so the weight will be concentrated with more force on the R14 tread with more PSI. But I could be wrong. But I think tire compound might be important as well. The R14 is slightly softer rubber Good...

Which tires for my MX: R14 or R4-TL2

According to the specs, the R4 are a little shorter actually. I updated the table above. I don't mind shorter because I have a lot of hills, so lower center of gravity is good. This is it! It has R14 now but they will swap the R4 off the cab MX they also have if I want them.

Looked up the actual tires on the tractors.. And wow, the load rating of the fronts differs significantly. Does this matter in practice? No idea.

Which tires for my MX: R14 or R4-TL2

I'm about to buy an MX6000 and can't decide between the R4 and R14 I like that the R14 is better in snow. Snow removal is not a primary purpose of this machine, but I can imagine at some point it could happen... to move some snow banks, or rescue my primary plowing tractor, or drive on a fire...

Will an L3560 w/ BH77 fit in my garage without drama?

The discussion has been enlightening. However, back to the original question Does anyone with an L3560 ROPS tractor have R14 tires? And if so, would you be kind enough to measure the height from the floor to the top of where the ROPS folds? I've seen conflicting reports but I believe the R14...

Will an L3560 w/ BH77 fit in my garage without drama?

Thanks @PaulL . Many good points in your recent post. I'm going to spend some time thinking about what I really want to do on the property (for sure) and come back to this decision. Oh, and I want R14 tires. @DONLI Why would you want an L2502 over an L3301? They're the same size, right?

Will an L3560 w/ BH77 fit in my garage without drama?

Hahah, well I don't own an airplane so I guess the Grand L isn't for me. Funny thing is, I assumed they were big money.. and was shocked that all the basic tractors were almost as expensive. How can the L2502 w/ BH cost almost $40K? How can the L3902 be only $3k cheaper than an L3560 LE...

Will an L3560 w/ BH77 fit in my garage without drama?

Oh absolutely. I'm not getting rid of the ventrac. The questions about what I'm going to do with it are all very reasonable questions. It's impossible to recommend what to buy if you don't know what you're going to do with it. But at the same time, I'm not renting this for a week to do a...

Will an L3560 w/ BH77 fit in my garage without drama?

Wow that would fit easily. Any chance you could measure the height to the top of your folded ROPS? I'll buy you a beer the next time we run into each other. :) This is where I'm leaning. But if I can confirm the Grand-L fits I might be tempted. Thanks for the detailed thoughts, it's really...

Will an L3560 w/ BH77 fit in my garage without drama?

I'm picturing Jeremy Clarkson unable to get through a gate with his huge Lamborghini tractor, and Kaleb telling him he's an idiot. That can be me in an MX

Will an L3560 w/ BH77 fit in my garage without drama?

Interesting.. And you found a way to work the 2501 on the slopes with no issues? Did you use wheel spacers? Did you have the BH77 and how did you like it on the 2501?

Will an L3560 w/ BH77 fit in my garage without drama?

Good to know people get work done without actually going 3 sizes up :-) I will also get 2" spacers if I go with the 2502. This raises a question on how specs match reality. The turning radius of the L2502 and MX4900 are 8.2 and 8.9 feet respectively (both w/ brake). I was shocked that they...

Will an L3560 w/ BH77 fit in my garage without drama?

@Russell King The issue with a true TLB is they have tops that don't fold. So we're back to fitting in the garage.
