Hearing protection with music when running the tractor? What do you use?

Random, You are not boring, you are smart, music and operating equipment doesn't mix and i don't care what anyone says about some new fangled contraption, taking your mind off of what you are doing by listening to music is wrong.

    Seat upgrades?

I tell you fellas, we shouldn't have to buy a 1000.00 seat for a new tractor, I wish these stingy tractor makers would put a good suspension seat on to start with. The tractors have no suspension it would seem intelligent to make a nice seat for them. Did I say intelligent, obviously they don't...

    Backhoe VS Excavator

I watched about a third of the video and man was that a put on. The backhoe operator started out great, but when it came to getting near the finish I believe the company told him to back off because you could see him gnawing at the hole with several bucket rotations before he picked up a load...

Hearing protection with music when running the tractor? What do you use?

I don't know guys, it seems like if you put a sound into your ears that is louder than what you are trying to block out you are damaging your ears. You have different tunes coming on that are louder and more abrupt than you can control so you are damaging your hearing, the only way I know of...

    Optimum Rpm.

You need to run it at wot to keep the hydraulic fluid cool and moving, wot on my B is the PTO rpm, it won't go any higher so you have to run it wide open just to meet the requirements of the PTO. That is what governors are for, the engine is not running as fast as it can it is being governed...

Noob with a Bad Habit Already: Mea Culpa, but...

My B2620 will let me know if the brake is on, but I never get off the tractor with implements raised even if I am using them. I always lower the bucket to the ground before getting off, I used to lower the backhoe, but found out the hard way after plowing a good size trench forgetting too raise...

Canopy. Are they good to have or not?

NHSleddog, That is a super setup, rear view mirror and fan are a must here in Florida, i want to add lights to mine also. I got mine from Kubota and it is worth every penny to keep me out of the sun and rain, but you have to be careful because you will be catching it on tree branches, house...

    BX levers watch out.

Well since we are telling about our mistakes, I raised the back hoe to get more weight out on the rear of the tractor and was lifting some concrete with my bucket and when I backed up I put the back hoe through the window of the house.

NCL4701 I am glad I did figure it out because the loader worked great 200 hours ago. I have had people laugh at my compact tractor, mainly neighbors, but after seeing what it has done they changed their tune. Matter of fact the neighbor who laughed the loudest is the one who has borrowed it the...

Hey fellas I found the problem, I was using dry lube to lube the parts that rub together, I switched to a lithium based wet lube and man did that smooth things out. I can move one grain of sand with my bucket without disturbing the rest. Ha!Ha! Thanks for all the ideas and help.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Nice job ctfjr I just realized something, if I knew that my Kubota could do so much and I was going to do the things I am doing, I would have gotten a larger one.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Thank you GURN I used my B2620 with clamp on forks to raise a roll up door to install in my new garage that I am building, it didn't lift it high enough so had to use wood pallets on the forks to give me a little more height Sorry I didn't take pictures, I am learning that pictures make the...

GreensvilleJay, I understand all that, as I mentioned in my original post, I am a journeyman machinist and a heavy equipment operator, I used (before I retired) 210 ft high rangers to reach under the launch pad at the cape, you should be up in one that high when the wind is 20 knots, the...

First really bad "oh shoot" moment @ 35hrs

Yes, I won't go into our ditch out back with out the back hoe because no one else will get in there to get me out if I sink in the mud. I can get that tractor out of anything with the back how attached.
