Don't buy a bigger tractor than you need.

It's funny how the perception regarding equipment sizing changes over time. I found this early Gravely ad interesting. I wonder how many people would agree with their point of view in 2025?

New member and question on a 3rd function kit

I installed that kit on my 2501 and it was a pretty straightforward installation. There are a couple YouTube videos covering installation on a 2501, maybe compare it against your 2502 so there are no surprises..

    Grapple shopping

I own a 54” unit that I purchased from MTL implements. My primary use is for cleaning hay/manure from my cattle’s feed area, but I have also used it for moving logs and brush around the farm. It’s a well built unit that works well. MTL was great to do business with, the unit was in stock and...

Hay Bale Spear Options for L2501

I use a Landpride BS10 with my L2501 to move 4x5 round bales and have had no issues with it lifting bales. Bales are mostly first cutting, although I have used it to feed second cutting rounds on occasion. Works satisfactorily for large squares too. Just make sure you have adequate ballast on...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

That’s the case here in Ohio also. I have had to take down around thirty blue spruce trees on my property so far as they just waste away from the bottom up. Maybe six remain of the originals and their slowly starting to thin out on the bottoms.

    Where's the 2501 made

Actually I don’t believe this to be the case. The larger L series tractors are assembled here in the States and are marked as such on the serial tag. The 2501’s are shipped here from Japan. Messisk’s has a video on decoding Kubota serial numbers which may be helpful

    PTO Generator with B2650?

The PTO units are nice and work well for many applications, but for residential back up power I much prefer a stand-alone unit. The stand alone is less hassle to connect and use in bad weather (which is generally when I have a power outage), quieter to run than the tractor at PTO speed and safer...

You will be fine using it.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Plowed up two rows of red potatoes today with my L2501. The loader bucket and a couple of 50-pound potato bags helped me get everything under cover quickly before the 15 percent chance of rain showed up in the afternoon.

That is the wire size in MM2 (Square Millimeters) format instead of AWG (American Wire Gauge).

    New Tractor 5 acres

A rabbit hole is a good observation, it's pretty easy to talk yourself (or be talked into) into much more machine and many more implements than you actually will need or regularly use. Keep in mind that after your initial projects are completed the tractor and tooling is something that will...
