I have an l245 and noticed the same dark line on the side of the tank. I replaced it with fuel line from the local lawn mower shop and used Ty-raps to secure it. It's not under any pressure so it worked fine.

I don't know if yours is the same but on my l245 there is a sight tube factory installed on the left side of the fuel tank. Mine was so dark you couldn't see the fuel. I replaced it and now it's much easier to check.

Just wondering if anyone has converted a generator and regulator to a modern alternator. Seems to me it would be fairly simple. The amperage need would be low which should make for a cheap alternator. Any ideas?

Vic told me that for the l245 the kit was no longer available as a kit. It was in individual parts though, for about 300. Don't know if this will work on yours , but this was done because of slow loader complaints. Keep us posted. eric

I just this week changed the 80w to UDT in my L245DT. Made a nice difference when the tractor is cold I had the same slow loader problem. Just make sure if your tractor has an internal hydro filter you clean or replace it while your system is drained.
