Welp....... Put PB Blaster on it a few times. Let it sit for 30 min. Went back and forth slowly with the pliers. Appeared to be making a little bit of progress and then snap. Put some PB Blaster on the nut. Used a 6 point socket and tried to get the nut off but it is not budging. Is that nut...

Manual just says to open it. I tried to open the petcock gently with pliers and it was not moving. Noticed the nut on the end of the opening for the petcock. Tried taking that off with a fair amount of force and it would not move. Afraid to apply any more force. Can someone tell me how to open this.

Good. I already have Mobil 1 Synthetic 80W90 gear oil for the cars.

Thanks. I bought the full maintenance kit. Will change all the fluids. Bought this machine used when we bought the house. I have put about 100 hours on it. Just noticed the mower gear box interval is 50 hours.:oops: What type of fluid goes in there. Could not tell from the user manual. Hoping...

ZD 331 just hit 400 hours. Going to change the HST and hydraulic oil filters. Do I need to change the fluid too? Watched some youtube videos and all they did was change the filters and added fluid they lost when doing the change.
