OP, Did the bearings in OP, First, good on you for tearing into yourself. I see you have a lift, so my guess is you’re more skilled than you're giving yourself credit for. Secondly, did the bearings you pulled out have seals on both sides? If so, is there a zerk fitting in either the spindle...

This screaming, could it be considered a whine? That’s what I hear on the HST Kubota CUTs when operated in High range (pretty much only for transit) or with too much load in Medium range. Really have to get aggressive (abusive?) to get much of a whine in Low range with the half dozen Kubota HST...

Another option might be a thin nylon washer on each side of the bracket.

Pretty easy fix. FIL drops about $21k plus fees and taxes for a new one at the local Kubota dealer, hands you the keys to it and enjoys his new submarine, however he’d like, running or otherwise. Might piss off the wife. But I’m sure your FIL knows as soon as you barrow someone’s equipments...

Congrats! Someone got a nice machine. IIRC $27.5k was nearly the price new back in the mid-2000’s. Outside of inflation/depreciation eating up about $16.5k of the mid-2000s value, that’s a decent per hour capital cost of about $16/hr.

I suspect that 13 took a nap within the first handful of hours of operation. Those R14s do load up with just about any moisture on the surface and they are pretty worthless after that. Same as my B.
