    B2150 Dynamo

In the UK, my B2150 came with an alternator. Model was HELLA JA551IR, output 40A. Cost new in the UK is about £140-180, equivalent to $180-230 USD, there are various reconditions models going for half that price. It was easy to replace for me, when mine died. The tractor was about 25 years...

    Where to set the throttle?

Also, if you are just getting used to the machine, it's a lot easier to grade/dig evenly with less power/throttle while you're getting used to it. At higher power, it's too easy to gouge out too much.

Need Advice buying 2003 B21 Kubota Backhoe Loader Tractor

Good luck. My first Kubota was similar, had an "obvious" flaw I thought I could fix. In reality, the seller knew far more than me and it needed much more work than expected. Ended up selling it and buying a much better/newer machine. In short - beware buying an old "deal" - if it was that...

    Initial implements for L3560LE?

Pallet forks for the loader can have a "log grab" which acts as a grapple. Not as good as a grapple for small brush clearing, but worth looking at. If you don't get pallet forks on the loader, get pallet forks for the 3pt. Very cheap, and allows you to move anything around, and carry some...

    Top-n-Tilt Best Practices

Many people won't ever need or want float on top or tilt, so that may simplify your choice! And if you have a check valve on the cylinders then float won't work anyway. I have float on my tilt cylinder, which is handy for grading or mowing rough tracks on hillsides. Float on a top link is...

Is the rule of thumb, "if you can reverse up the hill, you can drive up the hill"?

Impressive grip, but I'd be more concerned about rolling over sideways - the front wheels don't give any stability, as the tractor is more like a tripod. Reversing up the hill at a slight angle could be too much for it. I expect the ideal is to have equal weight at back and front, and as low...

Tractor instead of fork lift - newbie

How many movements a week? If it's more than one/two, go for the forklift. A small tractor won't lift very high (8ft max), is very wobbly when lifting heavy pallets, and has much worse visibility. If the pallet contents are fragile or valuable, go with the forklift. You'd also need a...

    SGC0660 grapple

Air can be purged from the cylinders I believe - the seals are "oil-tight, not air-tight", so by moving the cylinders in & out a few times, the air will go.
