Follow up for anyone with the same issue. Had the suction boot fail and it causes some WEIRD symptoms. Kubota #32741-39150 HOSE, SUCTION I guess it was causing air pockets in the hydraulic fluid I assume was making a hydraulic lock that that would cause the machine to random run terribly then...

Follow up for anyone with the same issue. Had the boot fail again and it causes some WEIRD symptoms. I guess it was causing air pockets that would cause the machine to random run terribly then inevitably stall and be super hard to restart when hot. I thought it could be an injector pump...

OK, update... compression tested fine. Like I mentioned, it runs fine a lot of the time too. It started acting up today, and I just happened to be moving the backhoe hydraulics and it seems to help. So after some playing around, as it starts to stall and splutter randomly while just driving...

Hey Andy, I am getting almost identical symptoms to you.. stalling after an hour or so use... then the tractor will keep doing it to the point it is useless until the next day. I have tried all the fuel issues I can find.. I have plenty of fuel flow.. I can see the fuel flowing via TWO...

Would compression cause a random intermittent issue like this? It seems if the pistons or valves were bad, it would be a persistent issue, no?

I agree. Hence it was a misting down the intake. Didn't dump it! :) As the tractor runs totally fine a good percent of the time with no weird noises, smoking, etc, I pretty sure I didn't damage the cylinders or valves.

Nope.. I have tried removing the fuel cap altogether when it is crapping out.. there is no pressurization in the fuel tank and obviously removing the cap made no difference.

I did consider the Stop Solenoid. I actually have a volt meter on the stop solenoid to make sure it isn't losing power intermittently. Plus it makes a pretty resilient clunk when the solenoid disengages, so I would hear it. Also when the stalling occurs, it kinda dies slowly over a few seconds...

I did actually talk to the tech department for the cleaner (I wanna say seafoam?) to see if that was OK on a diesel. It is designed for that use. (cleaning injectors/decarbon cylinders) Also, if the injectors / compression were shot, surely it would be consistently flaking out, no?

Hey Wolfman (and everyone!) , I have an ongoing massive PITA issue with a B26 kubota. It runs fine a lot of the time, then will randomly just start chugging and dying, and it will be a bitch to restart.. run for a few minutes or a few seconds or occasionally 30 minutes and then stall and die...

Re: B26 Hydraulics fine, but transmission won't move (much). Update: Success! Machine is up and working like a champ now! In case anyone needs help with this... I looked again at the short rubber hose and can see it split because the hard suction pipe is slightly out of line and puts pressure...

Any recommendations of where to get the filters online with decent prices and shipping?
