Comforting to read this from S.D.V...I can't find 10W30 Diesel-rated oil in my area, but I use Delo 400 15W40 in virtually everything else I own. And it's a whole lot colder up there than where I live...and probably hotter as well!

Thanks for the reply, dusty-t. Sure enough, when I scraped away some dark greasy goo, there was the control diagram sticker...'float' is full forward, with a detented click in the joystick pivot. Oooops...it's an LA300B, not LA301B. My bad. FWIW.
