Talking about the same problem that Stinger 23 was having with his tractor failing to start--only after several "clicks" getting contact in the solenoid. Loose/intermittent connection on the solenoid wire at the starter.

Had the same problem with my L4300 DT. May take 5-6 tries before the starter would kick in. Got down at the starter and wiggled the wire going to the solenoid and it felt like it slipped into the connector just a hair. Problem gone----for now!

Lord knows, we need all the humor we can get in today's world. Mainly what I was asking, can this all be done without disassembling the whole front end of the tractor?

what is the easiest way to remove the power steering cylinder from an L4300DT? Need to have the seals replaced.

Thanks, Wolfman! I was hoping that it would be simple. Guessing that I undo the bolts and slide the coupling back far enough to slip the belt through.
