I have a lot of different pieces of equipment (tractors, dump trucks excavators, wheel loaders, dozers (D7 and D4), track loaders and vehicles. ALL of them should be warmed up for a few minutes in cold weather (anything below 40F). The few minutes you lose will save you $$$ and time down the road.

Have you had the pump pressure checked? If the pump is weak or you have a valve problem in the christmas tree this can happen.

THAT IS *EXACTLY* THE VALVE I HAVE and nobody has been able to explain what the directional valve does properly... I didn't realize I was adjusting flow between the FEL and the power steering. I guess you can't have both?

I have exactly the same issue and I have the factory power steering and bf300-a FEL. What did you find out?

yes, to see if it is like mine. Mine was working great and I took it to the dealership to replace a seal on the rear left axle and when I got it back the power steering doesn't work. It steers, but no assist. Before it was smooth and effortless like running on glass.
