    Kubota fluid quandry?

I just bought six gallons of Super UDT last week. It was about $145 total.

Butch: I think we all would like to see the photos of your floating Kubota experiment.

    Bummer - Kubota Dealer Closed

K4me: You're lucky to be in the front range. If my dealer closed I'd have to go over Wolf Creek Pass and drive a total of 2.5 hours to get to the next one.

    Digging the pond

The pond existed before, but I doubled its capacity and took it from being a decorative feature to a functional one. It now stores enough water to actually be worth using for irrigation. This is really the first real project I've used the tractor for. Everything else has been pretty minor other...

    Digging the pond

After a busted hydraulic hose stopped my work Sunday, I fixed the hose a dug my pond out Monday. For those who don't live in the desert, water is more valuable than gold out here, and having a pond that holds my water is worth it's weight in gold. We get a full pond of water every so often and...

    Loader hose leak

Thanks everybody. I appreciate the help. I took the hose off this morning and went over to my dealer (closer than any of the parts houses). While I was at it, I decided to service my transmission, so I also bought 6 gallons of fluid and the two filters. They don't stock all the hoses, but make...

    Loader hose leak

Thanks, all. One more question: should I use the Kubota fluid, or is there another to be used?

    Loader hose leak

Hey all-- As I was digging my pond deeper this morning (before my irrigation water comes in and fills the pond), I noticed one of the hoses on my loader spaying fluid out of the metal collar at the end of the hose. I'd like to resume digging today, if possible, but not leaking the hydraulic...

Yeah.. The halter top idea alone could land me in the barn for a week.

    mounting bracket

Kevin-- In reality, I have a blackberry (no ATT service here in Durango... yet) and get pandora off cellular instead of WiFi. It works pretty well. Some noise blacking headphone can make it a little more pleasant.

    mounting bracket

You're proly right, Eric, but I've got this dream of all my passions coming together at one point of convergence. My wife sitting on the hood of the 2800 holding the iPad while we watch James Bond and grade a runway across our place. It's going to be a VERY short runway. Oh well.

    mounting bracket

Maybe I'll just have to set the wife on the hood in short shorts and a halter top to hold the thing... and a beer (sorry, no Bud or Miller Lite, a nice, dark microbrew). And an umbrella for the sun. And point a WiFi antenna back at the house for better download speeds. If I actually propose...

iPAD, Eric, PAD! that new thing that came out yesterday. Remember: I'm a computer geek, ex-tobacco chewer, and bull rider.

    Skid Steer Attachment Plate

At this point, I'm leaning toward installing the skid steer adapter on my loader and finding a used bucket or having a plate welded to my existing bucket. I'm thinking I can do everything but the welding myself (whenever I weld it looks like a bird dumped on the thing--I'm not going to subject...
