The laws in Florida prohibit the transportation of live feral hogs without license. Most of the farmers shoot them and leave them for the buzzards and coyotes. We hunt and trap them for freezer meat. 1 medium size hog will make 50# of sausage. My next harvest will make a 50# lug of chorizo.🍻

We make a lot of breakfast sausage. We’ve done bacon a few times but it’s comically smaller than store bought. It tastes the same just 1/4 of the size. The bellies just aren’t as big and fat.
