Russel and Wolfman thank you for all the help! I have continued to spray BP Buster into the linkage inside the inspection window. In addition I found that the manual shut-off lever was allowing some movement of that rack pin. So I pulled it up to stop position and let it snap back, along with...

well I am back after some more tinkering with the linkage on my L245dt. I sprayed the linkage inside the fuel pump inspection window with BP Blaster for 3 rd day now. I am getting movement on the fork with the hole and attached spring to the front of tractor when I operate the manual shut off...

Hi Russell, I think it appears the fuel rack is frozen. No movement of either fork in the inspection window, when throttle is increased. The exposed linkage to the speed contol lever and associated double nutted bolt move with throttle movement. Yes my L245 has the same manual stop lever...

Your reply is appreciated!! Wolfman, Can you give me advice on additional tests-fixes to the governor or linkage issues? I suspect it might be something like that because tractor was running fine up until this happened. I would think a fuel pump problem would occur with some warning power...

Hey Russell, I checked my fuel in the fuel filter and it was clean, also opened the fuel cock with filter off and got great flow to the filter. Doubt I have a fouling problem from fuel tank. After bleeding system to the fuel pump, I also cracked a high pressure fuel line to the injector...

Thanks for your reply. Yes the engine turns over, usually have some white smoke out of the exhaust, not now though. A little history, tractor did run and start well prior to this problem. Yes I did bleed the fuel line at the filter and fuel pump, volume of flow might be issue though. Seems...

The response post from Darren Todd to John146 on June 17, 2014 said "you will see a rod running the length of the pump with springs at both ends. I opened my fuel pump inspection cover and see no rod running the length of the pump. I see the ends of the lever fork, one appears to have wear mark...
