Yes, last night I did finally get it open, sprayed wd-40 up into where the pull cable exists he frame, grab onto whats left of the plastic pull handle and jerked it repeatedly... Also since it looks like the cable assembly and the plastic handle are all one item, it's be $40 for that plastic...
