When dealing with a stripped bolt I have found applying some pressure to the back of the bolt head will help get the threads to grab and let it thread out. I use a putty knife tapped in between the bolt head and the mount bracket then use a wrench or ratchet to turn the bolt. This should get the...
Start with the fuse for the fuel shut-off solenoid. If the fuse is ok then check the wire connections at the starter and at the solenoid. If ok ohm the solenoid to see if it failed.
Re: Fuel Jelling
Jelling can occur anytime below 32f. Most diesel suppliers switch to #1 diesel in the winter. Don't rely on it.
If a concern add Power Service in the white bottle. Has other benefits too.
You will know when the tractor won't run or is starved for fuel. Then use Rescue 911 or...
I might suggest rebuilding the old valve. Doing it yourself will be a good experience. The valve is not complicated. Just make sure you get the right spindle in the right hole. No harm if you don't. It won't work right if in wrong. Just switch them and good to go. The rebuild kit is far cheaper...
Blowing white smoke then black would indicate water in the fuel.
How old is the fuel? How many hours on the machine?
You mentioned the cylinders walls still have cross hatching. This would indicate low hours.
I would start with the simple things first. i.e. fuel, dirty injectors,
Timing and...
Follow the manual during warranty. 50 is not just a number.
Gears and bearing need time to wear in and mesh. Don't get in a hurry.
The manufacturer put that oil in there for a reason and specified 50hrs for a reason.
I have used a hand operated oil pump. (same as I use on boat engine) Takes a little longer than electric pump but since I do not do it that often no problem.
As to whine, my BX had a very noticeable drop in the whine when I switched to SUDT2. Much smoother hydraulics too.
I decided to go synthetic back when BMW did their own road test on their new model to decide if syn should go in their vehicles from the factory.
They took three cars and drove them continuously with scheduled service intervals to determine when the engines wore to the point they were out of...
I do not know if your machine has a relay already. Mine did not.
Did you get 12v to the starter lug or the solenoid post? The large red wire should be direct to the batter to supply the starter. The solenoid will have a small red wire coming from the ignition switch and should have 12v.
The...
My BX2200 does every task I have put to it. Cleared brush, large rocks, roto-tilling new lawn, pushing snow, mowing grass and pulling a drag harrow.
With only 900hrs if not neglected or abused it is a steal.
