Electric Vehicles. Can anyone make this make sense?

Here the limit for the distributed generation is 110%. Meanwhile summer the A/C was at 69° to help burn up the excess and on sunny days in the winter. I have about 7.5kW of electric heaters that are programmed to run when more PV is coming in than the batteries need to get fully charged. That...

Electric Vehicles. Can anyone make this make sense?

No, because the array is bigger than the poco would allow. I was not allowed the "distributed generation" that's what my poco calls their net metering. Instead I had to used something they call "simple renewable" if I wanted to remain connected to the grid. The difference is if I export power I...

Electric Vehicles. Can anyone make this make sense?

I went solar during 2025 mainly because the tax credit was going to end. But mine are on a seasonally adjustable ground mount. That tilts from 13.5° to 58.5° so I can adjust the 16kW of panels easily for the best production during the year. I'm around 42.6N also have 64kWh of batteries. Went...

Electric Vehicles. Can anyone make this make sense?

Just my $0.02 on EV's. Correct they are not for everyone. But I bought a new '17 Chevy Volt ( gas/electric extended range EV). In Feb 2018. It's now 8 years old the battery in the 8 years still has 95% of it's usable capacity but I still get more than the 53 miles on a warm day out of it. New I...

Electronic torque wrenches ... are they worth the cost?

My experience has been only the Stanley made Craftsman part numbers are warranted. The past tools sold at Sears are not

    Rental 3 pt. Auger Question

Really can't only use one size. Think of it being like a holesaw. You need the point to pilot the auger in. Otherwise it's just going to bounce around on the top of the ground. If it's really hard consider renting a mini-ex or skid steer with the hydraulic auger attachment. That's what I used...

At what temperature do you plug in your block heater?

Unsure the resistance but my block heater draws 400 Watts when running. Also after about 1/2 hour the valve cover is lukewarm to the touch...

    Your Battery Maintainer/Charger choice?

Noco tender. But wired up so it's easy to connect. Only issue is the only bulkhead connector I could find was an SAE style so I had to get a little adapter cable to change to the Noco connector.

At what temperature do you plug in your block heater?

I keep my LX2610 in a unheated pole barn. During the winter I keep it on the trickle charger and the block heater plugged into a Wi-Fi controlled outlet. Whenever I'm going to use the tractor I'll turn on the outlet for 30 minutes or so to save the wear and tear off a low temperature cold start...

Adapting a hydraulic sickle bar mower to my loader

What is the make/model of that cutter? I've been looking for something that my LX can run. But is more durable than the Samurai one that is on the cutthat.com site

    Kubota Service Insurance

Just one quick note on the KTAC insurance. At least as it was offered to me in 2021. If the tractor is a cash purchase or outside financing, paid off. The coverage offered is only ACV value NOT replacement cost.
