    All good info and at first i was able to use bucket to lift front tires and put additional rock under, i gave up too soon and then the bucket was digging too deep into the soft mud as well. I did try the diff lock, but was unable to tell any affect. Bottom line, if i had listened to my wife...

    I am 67 and have learned that if it feels like something "against my better judgement" it almost certainly is just wrong to do.

    Lifting arms don't go all the way down

    I know there is a speed control for this, but it is frozen. I am tempted to remove the knob and put a vice grip on the spindle. If not too aggressive, is this acceptable, or am I going to compound my problem?
