    took the starter out and apart. Looks pretty burnt up in there. Think it is the starter?

    I know I probably screwed it up when I was turning it over trying to start. Was turning it over for 15 to 20 seconds at a time a lot. Ended up buying a new battery and continued turning it over until the starter stopped turning over

    Yes it would be the solenoid. The plastic lever in the starter that the solenoid plunger hooks on to is very loose... lots of play...don't know if that is supposed to be like that

    Tried starting tractor after winter. Turned it over a lot and steady. Now I only get a click at the magnetic switch on starter. Battery new and charged now. Changed magnetic switch and still no start. Anybody can help me? Thanks
