Dummy me.. After removing the grease fitting from the back of the release bearing assy. the whole thing slid right out the front. My release bearing is totally f'd up so that was the biggest problem with my clutch. of course going to replace the disc and pp while its apart.

Split my B1600 today to replace the clutch. I'm having problems getting the release bearing out and i just want to make sure I have everything. I pulled the clutch rod from the transmission and dropped out the fork, then attempted to slide the bearing out the from of the bellhousing. it came...

About the only thing I could make out on the tag was Harvard, Il. The only company I could find there was General Power equipment, which sold under many brands until bought by MTD. the line above looks like harvard, or maybe howard something co. inc. couldnt' find anything else.. maybe it'll help

Can anyone confirm for me that my B1600dt grey has the same 7.25" clutch disc and pp as the B6200 NA equivalent? I just want to make sure before I get the tractor split and the clutch paid for just to find out its the wrong one.

So I've done some searching here on the forum and from what I've found here the NA equivalent to my b1600dt is the b6200? is this right? and would the b6200 7.25" clutch work on my b1600dt? Also about what year can I expect my trator to be? any more info would be appreciated, I've been...

Thanks for the info Vic! I don't know if i have all the gears figured out, I have two levers just on the right of the seat, one much further back, and it appears that between the combonations of these levers then yes, I guess I do have 16 F and 4 R gears. as a 1600dt, what would i be looking...
