If you have the old gasket just swap it to the new filter. Your new one may have a small knick or cut. Unless the old gasket is hard and cracked it should work. 200 hrs is nothing, the old gasket should be fine. Corey

I have a car with a solid lifter cam and all lash adjustments are done hot. The lash will change due to heat. Isn't this the same on a diesel? Unless you can get a proper cold lash spec? Devils advocate Corey

If you know a welder just have him pie cut the post where it needs to be to make it plumb and re weld it. You can probably do this 1 to 2 inches from the ground. Probably won't even notice when done. Or back fill it a bit. If the post is in as solid as you say, it will be fine. Paint it and walk...
