    RCK60b-23bx Gearbox Rebuild

Without having it right in front of me, it sounds like you will have to press the crown shaft (170) out before the pinion shaft will clear and come out. Looking at the picture, shaft 110 is the pinion shaft with an overhung gear. When everything is new it looks like removing the seal and snap...

New BX2380 bucket meets ground unevenly....

I drag race and we have to check slicks for circumference to match them up. Ive seen even racing tires be different. Car pulls to one side or the other. Not suprised that tractor tires all different heights. Nice catch Corey

I have s set of the PFL1242 forks, they are solid. Landpride is Kubota, can't really go wrong with them. Corey

    Tractor for 3.5 acres

I have a BX2380 with forks and i can lift about 750lbs, i did the B expanded pump pressure check and added a few shims which helped. 700 pounds on the 2380 will be pushing it, but if you don't need to lift it very high it probably will work. I can lift pallets off my pickup but they are only...

    Oil filter leaking

If you have the old gasket just swap it to the new filter. Your new one may have a small knick or cut. Unless the old gasket is hard and cracked it should work. 200 hrs is nothing, the old gasket should be fine. Corey

L3901 needs engine. What went wrong?

I guess I should clarify , my skid steer is a 1975 vintage 1845 Case. No glow plugs. When i first bought it, the starter was burned out of it, clearly from having to crank the engine for minutes on end in cold weather. Small squirt of starting fluid and she fires up in seconds. I would never use...

L3901 needs engine. What went wrong?

I use it on my case skid steer, no glow plugs. Works fine, its even stated in the manual how to use it. Not debating, just saying. Corey

L3901 needs engine. What went wrong?

Bad for diesels with glow plugs. The old school ones don't mind it as much in really cold weather, less is more. Put ether in a diesel with glow plugs and boom. My opinion Corey

    glitter in axle gear oil

I was in the local Kubota dealer buying some parts for my BX and i asked about front diff oil, they mentioned that they are recommending basic 80w90 gear oil in the front diffs. They feel the light tractor oil isn't adequate in handling the stress of moving snow etc. They even put it in on any...

    l3301 Valve Clearances

Wow, i would have never guessed that snug a lash number. There you go, very different than a car engine. Lash is typically in the .024 to .026. Range. Thanks for the clarification Corey

    l3301 Valve Clearances

I have a car with a solid lifter cam and all lash adjustments are done hot. The lash will change due to heat. Isn't this the same on a diesel? Unless you can get a proper cold lash spec? Devils advocate Corey

    Making post plumb--Helping neighbor

If you know a welder just have him pie cut the post where it needs to be to make it plumb and re weld it. You can probably do this 1 to 2 inches from the ground. Probably won't even notice when done. Or back fill it a bit. If the post is in as solid as you say, it will be fine. Paint it and walk...
