Nice tip, I didn't think about not installing the deflector chute. My property is long so I'll probably end up driving up the middle and blowing to each side anyway. I may take it off. Haven't heard it yet but that was another draw for me, I did hear it was quiet.

Will do, thanks for the advice. I was going to go through all of the service info this weekend and put together a list of things to do and when to do them. I read similarly that the front axle fluid often gets neglected by people during self-service. I'll be sure to check the level now...

Update: emailed the dealer last night with the pictures and explanation. Got a call this morning - no questions asked, they're sending a service tech to fix Friday morning. Thanks everyone for confirming my suspicions. Hopefully it gets buttoned up so I can start to put it to work!
