    BX1850 or BX2660 for 5 acres

For what it’s worth: I started with a BX moved up to a BX with back hoe ( limited flexibility) moved up to a cabbed B very top heavy . Upgraded again to a Grand L cabbed great tractor, very stable but could not get into many tight places. Downsized to a BX 2680 and have not looked back. I have a...

    best 3-point quick hitch?

The Kubota quick hitch on my BX is excellent and low profile , however their configuration for the lower pin latches in many cases limits you to kubota/land pride implements . Example I had to get a kubota ballast box as my old one would not fit with the latching lever configuration on the quick...

    Recs on ballast

I’m back downsized to a BX from a grand L and I always want rear ballast but as others have said a ballast box does but one thing and in the case of the BX the height of the Kubota ballast box means I have to raise the three point almost all the way to get good ground clearance so it only stays...

[BX23S] How do you like that seat angle??

As someone else said I shimmed the front bolts on the seat and that tilted it back enough

Yes, another quick hitch question :(

One reason to get land pride is they are owned by Kubota so you know they are compatible and meet Kubota standards

    [MOD] Adding a step. BX23S

I would agree 25 years ago when I got my first BX but now at 81 with some leg issues I think the step is great and I have a kubota factory step on mine , no I don‘t run a middle mower

Trailering my L3560 LE 800 miles…my set up. ** New photos**

rule of thumb I've always followed is tongue weight should be 10-12% of total trailer and load weight. I would concur with turning the tractor around to minimize wind or the turbulence from passing trucks forcing the cab doors open

    Life and needs evolve

Great to see other old guys still active. As Clint Eastwood (92) states, “ keep moving so the old man can’t catch you “

    Life and needs evolve

Actually showed the dealer what I wanted and they fabricated it. Interestingly when I Had the Grand L I designed a two step for it ( factory only puts a single on) several years ago my dealer asked me to entertain some engineers from the Kubota factory and they took lots of pictures of the mods...

    Life and needs evolve

It’s been a great run with Kubotas. When we moved to our current home some 26 years ago besides a new mower I bought a Kubota BX as my first tractor . Over the years I upgraded to a BX with back hoe, to a B then a cabbed B ( poor choice for stability reasons) and to a grand L cabbed ( my...

    BX1880 Capability

Having had over the years several BX models and several B tractors I now have a grand L bottom line don’t cut yourself short with too small a tractor. . When at the local dealer yesterday I noticed that the base L series is actually less than a BX and you get a larger sturdier frame and more...

    Tractor seats

I think we found a solution. First the seat off a ZD1211 is slightly too wide but the seat off a lower line Z mower will fit. It does not have adjustable recline but you can get some adjustment by loosening the bolts etc. the depth of the seat is better than the OEM seat that comes on the grand...

    Tractor seats

At least my dealer is trying. I cut a neighbor widow two acre field Tuesday and my sciatic reacted in the worst way . We have fabricated a new bracket but the seat they tried was not deeper. I had the opportunity several months ago to visit with several engineers from Kubota Japan and I was...

    Tractor seats

I’m about at the end of my rope trying to find a comfortable seat for my Kubota grad L. The stock seat is short (butt to knee) hard and offers no support to things or back. Besides you tend to slide forward out of the seat. The dealer has been great trying to help but no success yet. The seat on...

    Hearing Protection

Always looking for good ear protection. When shooting rifle ear muffs rub against the stock so I have looked for electronic ear buds. Tried the Walkers and not happy with the sound reduction. Has anyone tried theAxil GS digital ?
