I have Battery Tender Jr, CTEK and NOCO 2a,5a,10a. All work fine. NOCO has several sales per year on Amazon and the price is much less expensive on sale than Battery Tender and CTEK.

There are a ton of sunfire radiant heater review videos on Utube. I didn't see any negative reviews but they all might have been given the heaters for there reviews.

A suggestion, spray the window weather seals with silicone to reduce friction and load on window motors. I spray silicone in to a plastic cup and use q-tips to coat the weather seals.

JMO, 1800hrs on my ZD 323 and the jack works perfectly. I suspect your mower was left out in the weather and didn't get much cleaning. I use a leaf blower to clean my jack and mower deck after every use. I do not use any lube on the jack screw because it attracts and holds dirt.

I sand down the end of a tongue depress into a taper and use that to scrape up the old grease. It does a good job of getting the grease off without damaging the paint. I then wipe everything down with rags and WD-40.

Have you cleaned up the battery - to engine block connection? Sounds like that mower sat out in the weather if you are finding corrosion on contacts etc.
