    Was running pretty good

I have run my B6000 dry twice. Once about 7 years ago. I swore I'd NEVER do that again. Then came last night. Getting ready for the upcoming snow storm I figured I'd get the dinosaur running and checked out. Looked in the tank, saw it was 'full enough' and started it up. Drove down the...

Is it time to let go?

One of the benefits of a FEL. 8 yards of topsoil. Done.

Is it time to let go?

The bucket rams are bent. the PO modified the bucket narrower and deeper ( to muck out cow troughs) and side mounted the bucket. the guy says they are never going to last because of the bend, The main rams never retract as normal, because of the modified reconfiguration years ago, and...

Is it time to let go?

the biggest drawback is the counter rotating PTO spline, and the odd size. it makes the tractor difficult to find or mate implements to. the FEL is this units strong point. well... that and the Hydraulic ports on the back. There was a special adapter that someone installed to shunt...

Here’s the offending attachment that overstressed the rams.

Is it time to let go?

While using my trusty Orange beast....... I have been a happy Kubota operator for about 10 years. My 1978 (or so) B6000 is one tough tractor. I have tried numerous times to kill it. Now i have a decision to make. While installing irrigation lines in yard I blew the right FEL and bucket rams...

    B6000 fuel leak

@ North Idaho Wolfman Thanks for the detailed pics. Now for some clarification. The first pic, Is this all that will come out when I unscrew the part? I wasn't planning on taking the entire injection pump out. The second pic, the leak is coming from the shoulder at yellow arrow. Is...

    B6000 fuel leak

Sounds like a good reason to get the pressure washer out and clean the old girl off. In addition to the orings, is the thickness of the copper gasket critical? How is the timing of the injection pump adjusted? Are there other shims that are not part of this dis, and re assembly? Is this...

    B6000 fuel leak

That's the cats meow. Thanks :-) After looking at parts, it seems no parts are specified for a B6000. But B7100 and 6100 show them. Are the parts (O Ring and Gasket) interchangeable between the B6000 and B6100? John

    B6000 fuel leak

Good day: B6000. Ran it out of fuel. In process of bleeding it, I loosened the injector lines. It seemed that the forward injector would never spit any fuel. So I completely removed it. Blew it out with compressed air. Reinstalled it. Now comes the question/problem. Started it up...

    B6000 stops running.

well..... as the song goes: Whoops, I did it again. I promised myself to NEVER EVER EVER let this old beast run dry. Too bad i didn't pay attention to the fuel tank. However, I do notice that only one injector line spits as i crank it. Is it possible to have a injection...

    B6000 stops running.

Funny you mention that. The top fuel line running from the secondary to the injection pump was always damp with fuel. I did replace it, maybe that was a larger part of the problem than I realized. I should replace the lower hoses too. Good suggestion. General Maintenance is always...

    B6000 stops running.

Well, I can't find the post to refer to, but another person here on OTT put up a couple pics with arrows to the bleed screws. It turns out I didn't know about the screw on the banjo bolt on top of the fuel injection pump. Runs like a champ. Now I have to just figure out the dynamo issue...

    B6000 stops running.

When I opened the bleed screw on the primary filter housing fuel gushed out of there. Yeah, I will have to work on the dynamo wires. There's only three that I un, re hooked. They were all stacon bullets with matching wire colors. I couldn't see how I could goof that up.... but, hey...

    B6000 stops running.

Hi all: My trusty B6000 and I were splitting wood for the last couple days. I made sure to keep the tank filled, and checked the radiator and oil levels each day prior to use. Yesterday I noticed the slightest engine rpm differing (up and down slightly). I assumed fuel filters clogging...
