Tire Ballast Hurt or help on Snowy Hills?

that is the heart of the question. My wrangler with bfg at tires goes up and down the driveway without the slightest concern, my f150 with same tires is a little dicey. With the 150 being about 1000lbs heavier

Tire Ballast Hurt or help on Snowy Hills?

On my dad’s 2wd tractor they worked great . Without them he couldn’t make up a slight slope, tires would just spin Even when rear was locked. They are rough riding though, like driving on rumble strips.

As I was sliding backwards, I did press reverse pedal , but still getting use to pedal design for the B, so might not have been pressing hard enough. Has anyone tried these? https://www.rubbertirechains.com/product/33x12-50-15-tire-chains/ i put something similar on my dads 2wd Deere and...

Tire Ballast Hurt or help on Snowy Hills?

The odd part is I has the 2360 for 14 years and never had this happen. I am wonder part of the change is most impacted this response? I will check tire pressure perhaps dropping it a bit will help. I put some tera grips on a 2 wheel drive deer for my dad that worked well, They were rubber...

Tire Ballast Hurt or help on Snowy Hills?

I recently switch from a BX2360 with BX2750D Snowblower to a B2601 with a BX2822 Snowblower with turf tires on both. BX was stock, but on the B and added 2" wheel spacers and filled the tires with ballast. The B is very stable on the driveways and slopes down to the lake, even more so than the...

    Bx to B01 or lx2620

i am in the exact same boat, the trade offered for my 2010 Bx 2360, loader, 51” front blower and quick hitch with. 100 hrs was less than the cost of just the new blower. And it’s too close to winter to try and sell and get new tractor. I’ll wait and see what happens next spring

    Bx to B01 or lx2620

If I didnt have to worry about the lake property I would definitely go lx. I worry about the lx being too big in this situation. i guess the best way will be to do a trial Run. For those that may have made this move, does the lx feel drastically different in size when driving or...

    Bx to B01 or lx2620

Right now it’s just the snowblower and loader. going forward I will be adding grapple And a box blade. before investing money in new implements and 3rd function I thought I might resize. Prior to th Bx I had b7610 and I thought it was a good size and I like, but was a bit overkill for the new...

    Bx to B01 or lx2620

Looking to update my Bx to a larger unit for some upcoming heavier work that will also need a little more ground clearance.. However I still need it to work in some tighter spots. I have a narrow path ~65 inches down a ~17 degree slope ( level right to left - no side slope work) that I need to...

BX23s Pin Bucket vs 2 lever

I really havnt pushed the boundaries on the 2360 in use. Mostly used for top soil, gravel/stone, mulch. i did notice the impact when i moved from the b7610 to then bx, but adjusted to it without a problem, just took a couple extra trips. mostly i was concern if that 100 lbs of capacity was...

BX23s Pin Bucket vs 2 lever

Looking at trading my BX2360 in for a BX23s for the backhoe. I really like the idea of the ability to remove the loader bucket and attach other front implements, not that I have any plans for forks or grappler at this time. However i am worried about the loss of lift capacity with the quick...
