    BX2680 maintenance questions

The way doctors keep trying to kill me, I'll be lucky to live that long. 2yrs ago, Doc changed my BP med. I reacted badly to it. He called an ambulance, trip to the ER. A night there trying to regulate my BP and heart rate. Meds for on then meds for the other. My heart would stop beating for as...

    BX2680 maintenance questions

Sorry about that. Had another thread going about the UDT-2 in mt L3800 and putting a John Deere dye in it to make it show up better in the sight window. Got them and was following this post too and got the 2 mixed up. Easy to do when you hit 73. ;) Thanks for the info on the dust covers. Dano

    Another L3800 problem, maybe?

Ok, got the dye in yesterday, I also stopped at the local hardware store and picked up one of the squeeze bulb pumps people use for kerosene heaters and a 3/16" dowel. Today I drained the 3.5 gal I put in out and this is the result: Engine at idle: And Sight picture with the engine off: I'm...

    BX2680 maintenance questions

That's what I did and the bottle was only about 1/3 full. The bottle had white paint around the threads and one side and dye on the label in several places. No dye in the box. I believe I got sold a bottle that had been used down to the 1/3 left in it and resold as an unopened bottle. I emailed...

    Another L3800 problem, maybe?

That's the plan and when I get it right I'm going to use something, a dowel or a car dipstick to measure the level and mark it and go with that. Dano

    Another L3800 problem, maybe?

I added the dye and let it run at idle for a few minutes. The entire window is now red. To late today to drain it but I'll be draining it tomorrow. Dano

    Another L3800 problem, maybe?

Just ordered a bottle. I'll wait to drain it until I get it and can see how much is in the sight glass. Thanks for the tip. Dano

    Another L3800 problem, maybe?

Thanks for the info. Yeh, three gallons until it started to come out the fill hole. I'd put in a 1/2 qt and check the sight glass. Had my wife watching it constantly too. just started pouring in the last 1/2 quart that would have made 3 gallon and it overflowed the fill hole. Never have seen it...

    Another L3800 problem, maybe?

While lubing the HST zerks which seems to have cured my starting problem though only time will tell, I came across this: I've been under there dozens of times, but I don't remember this. Reason I'm asking, I had it serviced last fall to include topping of the Tranny lube. Doing maintenance on...

    Kubota Safety Switches Help?

I greased this petal and spray lubed the springs and connections. Now, only time will tell. Appreciate all the advice given. I know one thing, I'm too old to go crawling around under the tractor anymore. From now on, I'm driving it up town to NAPA and supervise them greasing it. ;) Dano
