being a 15yo +/- tractor you may simply need to give it a little tlc. Grease gets old and stiff, springs get weak, etc... Sounds like...

BI switched to Rotella for the engine, but I “pay the man” and use the SUDT2 for the hydraulics.

BSee this parts diagram, there are a couple of parts underneath the cap to seal it and you may have lost them OR they are just leaky.
