    No oil pressure after rebuild

I use a clevite assembly lube that sticks like glue on the crank and rod bearings

    No oil pressure after rebuild

Well here was the problem, once I seen it was staked in place I knew it was done by the machine shop. I do automotive engines so I didn't catch this on assembly. But when customer said no oil pressure I remembered the galley plugs in the front thinking they were for antifreeze and not a oil...

    No oil pressure after rebuild

Yep. pulled the cover and the plug was in the hole, I feel better because I didn't install that plug the machine shop did. I can tell and the hit around the edges with a chisel to keep it from coming out. Checked oil and no glitter, engine was only ran a couple of min, so fingers crossed it...

    No oil pressure after rebuild

I need a diagram of the oil circuit for a 3307 engine I don't see one in the manual. If you have seen my previous posts I rebuilt a 3307 engine for a friend that we had problems getting parts for. The engine fires up perfectly but no oil is getting to the oil pressure sensor. I verified that...

M7040 no power to glow plugs

It does, we found the blue wire has been spliced in the past and fixed it properly. Thats the one that goes from the relay to under the dash.

M7040 no power to glow plugs

Just rebuilt the engine in this tractor and cannot get the engine to start. Primed the fuel system per the wsm and engine turns over fine. tested the power to the glow plugs and no power turning the ignition switch. removed and tested the relay and its working fine when bench testing. There is...

    V3307 piston to bore clearance

Got my answer, the machine shop I use that does allot of Kubota engines said it needed to be .003-.004 piston to bore. after measuring and measuring i discovered that the piston skirts were tapered on these new pistons almost .004. we honed the bores to correct the tightness. after checking what...

    V3307 piston to bore clearance

Thanks for looking, I posted the question on a machinist site asking also. The Cylinder bore size is in the wsm for the tractor.

    V3307 piston to bore clearance

I should have said the machine shop that installed them finish honed them. I was reading 3.700 engine is a 2006 v3307 from a M7040 tractor. 6S0389

    V3307 piston to bore clearance

Yes the cylinders were honed, but being someone that checks all clearances when I assemble, I want to know what the minimum piston to bore is for this engine. I just looked at the manual again and I don't see a piston OD measurement stated. The bore is specified just not the piston. they are...

    V3307 piston to bore clearance

I have looked in the manual and measured everything and don't like that I am only getting .001 piston to wall clearance. being a avid automotive engine builder this seems very tight for a diesel engine. I don't see in the manual what the clearance should be only see allowable limits for bore...

    Main Bearings needed

The machine shop ordered a master kit but it had standard bearings in the kit. I had them deduct the cost of the bearings from my total and said I would buy the new ones myself. Didn't know how hard the mains were going to be to find. Update I got a set of .2mm so all is good.
