Shop Manual for BX1870 Front End Loader

Update on the squishy FEL control for whatever its worth. The dealer had told me that as the warranty for the FEL was good for only one year and as I've had it now about a year and three months then the dealership would not be able to work on that problem under warranty. Thanks to Daren Todd...

Shop Manual for BX1870 Front End Loader

Daren, I want to thank you again for your link to the $9.95 download manual. I went ahead and ordered that and now that I've finally had a chance to look it over it looks as if it will serve. I might need to ask some advise from those here on the forum when I start disassembly...

Shop Manual for BX1870 Front End Loader

Thankee Daren. I've just found the manual on Messicks... now I'm hoping somebody might be able to steer to me another source where it won't cost quite as much. Might be a forlorn hope. Ben Rich

Shop Manual for BX1870 Front End Loader

I need some help again here guys. I learned this morning from my Kubota dealer that the FEL on my BX1870 only has a one-year warranty; hence they will not be able to fix the "squishy" loader control lever issue (the actual tractor is still under warranty but not the FEL w/hydraulic control)...

    FEL Control Lever Gone "Squishy"

Thankee cerlawson. You were the one that helped me out when my fuel filter got gummed up. I suspect you may be right and that it is a broken spring. The BX is still under warranty though I don't relish the thought of trailering it there and then having to wait however long before they get it...

    FEL Control Lever Gone "Squishy"

Hey guys, I'm back and need advise/help. I've been using my BX1870 thus far this summer with absolutely no problems (apart from a dirty fuel filter, which I replaced). This afternoon I went to use the BX and the first thing I noticed once it had warmed up was that the FEL control lever had...

    Diesel Fuel Boogers

Good and timely responses. I recently had to change the filter situated before the pump on my BX1870; this tractor is barely a year old. I also found a few of these boogers in that filter when I cut it open. When I topped up my fuel tank, out of curiosity, I poured the diesel through a...

    BX1870 RPM/PTO Issues

A big thank-you to cerlawson. I got two fuel filters from the dealer this morning and swapped out only the filter next to the pump. That filter was filthy inside with what looked like rust flakes. I'm not completely sure that what was inside but I'll saw the filter apart and try to determine...

    BX1870 RPM/PTO Issues

Thankee cerlawson, After supper last night I was mulling this over and was starting to think fuel issues rather than hydraulic. On Monday, when the dealer is open, I'll get a couple of filters from him and see if this resolves this. Thanks again, Ben

    BX1870 RPM/PTO Issues

Thankee Skeets, I should have mentioned that in my first post regarding the position of the PTO lever. I have a two-year old grandson that loves to sit in the tractor seat (engine off, key out of ignition and all hydraulic implements lowered to ground). In the past he has jiggered the PTO...

    BX1870 RPM/PTO Issues

I have not disconnected the mower to find out. I was hoping somebody would have some experience with this issue. I should have mentioned, for those that are not familiar with the BX series tractors, that this machine is entirely HST. Even the PTO(s) are hydraulically driven - not...

    BX1870 RPM/PTO Issues

I used the same type grease I've been using for the last year on the finish mower. It's not the grease, nor the finish mower, as the blades on the mower turn freely. In other words, there is no binding at all on the blade spindles. Thanks for your suggestion though. Ben Rich

    BX1870 RPM/PTO Issues

Hey guys, I haven't posted for awhile as everything has been operating perfectly on my 2013 BX1870. I last mowed four days ago using my Land Pride FDR 1648 finish mower and the little BX 1870 worked/mowed flawlessly. Just previous to this mowing I had greased up all the zerks on the mower...

    Another Job Made Easy

Eric, One tie at a time is about my limit (my limit, not the 1870's). Yes, I bought the ties at ACE Hardware. I had looked at Craigslist and saw some pretty good deals for good ties (around $8.00 apiece) but the time of travel and cost in gasoline would have quickly negated those savings...
