    Hydraulic problem with F2000

I did not have any operational problems as such; the old girl works well enough. I was worried about the oil and later bubbly oil overflowing.

    Hydraulic problem with F2000

I tightened the clamps at 40 and 90 and ensured that the strainer was screwed in tight. Removed about 2 liters of oil using a baster modified with a length of tubing to drop the level to just below the high mark on the dip stick. Mowed the lawn, checked the tank and the bubbles are still there...

    Hydraulic problem with F2000

My error in using "replaced" in connection with the hydraulic oil. They dropped the level to do the work on the drive shaft and then added oil. I will drop the oil level and see what happens. If this does not solve the problem, would wrapping #s 40 and 90 with duct tape to see if that is where...

    Hydraulic problem with F2000

I figured it out (googled). It's definitely not blocked because I could see the overflow of oil coming out of it.

    Hydraulic problem with F2000

There was no charge for O rings but they did no work in that area. The level is over the top line on the stick. So, given the amount of oil lost, a lot of extra oil was added. Would this cause a problem, and could it be solved by dropping the oil level?

    Hydraulic problem with F2000

Yes, it's like the 2690...a much earlier version. It was likely built in 1986; I bought it new in April 1987. The level is very high on the stick and did overflow quite a bit. It certainly was over filled. I'll check tomorrow AM to make sure.

    Hydraulic problem with F2000

Thanks, Moots. How would you check for this? What am I looking for to find a spot(s) where it is pulling in air?

    Hydraulic problem with F2000

I had a Kubota dealer replace the driveshaft and yokes on my F2000. This also involved replacing the hydraulic oil. After mowing the yard, hydraulic oil over flowed. I assumed that they had put in too much. The overflow continued after each use. I looked into the oil reservoir and saw a lot of...

    Parts Source...reliable?

I am considering a source for parts for my F2000. The parts I need apparently are no longer available. I'm not sure whether this is only a Kubota Canada thing. I did locate a USA supplier which lists the parts I need. Has anyone had experience with German-Bliss Equipment in Illinois?

    Synthetic Oil

Would you not need a filter specific for synthetic oil because it is finer to be able to properly clean the oil?

    Synthetic Oil

The manual specs for engine oil are pretty simple; 10W-30 would work at all temperatures. Do I still need to use the Kubota filter or should I use another.....I use synthetic oil in my P/U and a filter for synthetic oil.

    Synthetic Oil

What do you think about using synthetic oil instead of regular oil? My tractor is an F2000 3cyl. Diesel.
