    D1402 engine replacement

Woohoo!!!! It would be fantastic if it bolts together as you say. I guess there's only one way for us to find out so I need to get to work. I also will need to figure out if the 1302 runs so I supposed I'll start there.... THANK YOU for your help!!!! Steve

    D1402 engine replacement

02 series. Thx! Does that mean it's considered a Super Mini in Kubota's lingo? I can't find references to the 02 series on their website. Sorry I neglected to answer your question! The main hydraulic pump attaches via its own adapter and bellhousing cover. I've attached pics. I realized...

Dipping toes in the world of Welding

McMXi were typing at the same time. We're both basically saying the same thing in different ways. He's more eloquent than I.

Dipping toes in the world of Welding

One other tidbit that I'll share. You might consider buying a decent acetylene setup first and start by learning to gas weld. The reason behind this is it will teach you how the metal flows, what it's like during different heating stages etc. LEARN! Once you can weld 16 gauge sheet metal...

    D1402 engine replacement

Agreed, which is why I'm trying to figure out if the bellhousing bolt patterns are the same between different engine series before buying one. At this point Kubota is so convoluted regarding serial numbers that I haven't even been able to determine for certain which engine series the D1402 is.

Do yourself a favor and buy a 220v unit. I'd suggest Miller, Lincoln, Esab or the like. In other words spend the money up front and get a "real" machine. You won't regret it. I fully concur with the previous post about picking up an older machine. Most are bulletproof and will last forever...

    Kubota KH-027 info request

As a follow-up, if one buys one if these machines in the USA very close to the same machine was sold as a KH-66 and a KH-91. The KH-27 that I have sits right between them weight wise. All used the D1402 engine and most of the small parts that I've checked interchange between the models. Most...

    D1402 engine replacement

Howdy, I finally dragged home my new auction prize. It's a Kubota KH-27 excavator. I posted pics in a different thread: https://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/threads/kubota-kh-027-info-request.74106/#post-790621 The engine is disassembled in a box. From inspection, it spun a bearing...

    Kubota KH-027 info request

Yep, familiar with Kubota's lack of support for grey market machines. Stupid on their part IMHO! They should be focused on selling machines to whoever wants them and simply be grateful for the sale, not be putting up artificial impediments for no reason. EX - makes sense. Thanks all for the...

    Kubota KH-027 info request

I've attached a pic the model label to this post. I didn't attach it originally because the scratch makes it tough to read but maybe it will make sense to you. Thx!

    Kubota KH-027 info request

Hi Wolf, I appreciate the info. I was starting to figure the same thing based on the lack of info. The confusing thing is all of the labels are in English. Based on that I wondered if it might be Canadian so I searched the Canadian Kubota parts catalog but didn't find anything there either...

    Kubota KH-027 info request

Howdy, Today I snagged an old KH-027 mini excavator at auction. The engine is out if it and apart in a box. Not afraid of the project because I figure it will be great once fixed. I'm puzzled because I've just spend over an hour trying to fine Owner's and WSM's for it and can't find...

    Small engine Gurus...HELP!

Bad ignition coil/pickup/ignitor. Easy way to check if its a carb issue. Run it and wait for it die. Once it does, try starting/running it using starting fluid. If it stays running its fuel related. If not, it's likely ignition related. One other thing to consider, and I don't know this...

    zl-1501dt things i've done

Alexisferos, Nice job! I like how it stays looking original. Did you find those lights on eBay? Or, would you mind adding a link to where you found them? I'd also like to pick some of those up and do the same as you. Thanks! Steve
