    Moving shipping container with tractor

I have thought of this but in practice I do not know if it is better or not. I think because without at least some of the lifting force of the 3 point, it might make it harder to drag.

The risk of this is small. Its relatively flat and the wheels lock into place. The other end will never be more than a few inches off ground. Im going to try and attempt this this weekend and will update the post.

    Moving shipping container with tractor

Hello I recently bought a 20' shipping container to store my new Kubota L2501 based on some advice I got at this forum. The shipping container was delivered however it is not in the spot that I ultimately want it in, it is basically dropped off near the road into my property. I'll need to move...

    3 point Log Skidder/Trailer hitch

I do have the 3rd function kit and am planning on ordering a grapple within the next year but even if I order it now I will be waiting but even once I get the grapple, my trails are too narrow to carry large logs very far with the log sideways in the grapple. So I anticipate still having to drag...

    3 point Log Skidder/Trailer hitch

Skidding winches are cool, but expensive and Im just looking for a simple attachment i can lift a chain with and lift, to pull logs with the tractor, along with a trailer hitch for now.

    3 point Log Skidder/Trailer hitch

Hello, I'm looking for an attachment that would enable me to hook a chain around a log and lift it up with the 3 point to be able to drag it out of the woods. Ideally I would like it to be compatible with the QH10 quick hitch on my Kubota L2501. Also ideal would be if it had a class3 hitch...

    Advice for tractor newbie

Another item I just ordered is the "Piranha Bar" for the front loader, due to someone's suggestion in this thread (Thanks, ZTMAN). Haven't even used the bucket yet but making the bucket more able to dig into soil and sever small trees while protecting the integrity of the bucket is something...

    Advice for tractor newbie

At first I was worried about the L2501 leaving imprints on the lawn, but honestly it doesn't tear up the lawn that much. I know it's not going to lift everything I attempt though but I think it's going to be a good first tractor. Not saying it is one that I'll stick with forever though. I...

    Advice for tractor newbie

OK maybe I'm only having that issue because I'm multi-tasking. The dealer told me to run the rotary mower at max rev's. so I'm running that and using the fork lift at the same time, but I'll try lowering the rev's for the loader work next time.

    Advice for tractor newbie

Surprisingly I took delivery of the new L2501 over the weekend. I thought the dealer had to order it, he made it sound like he did but he actually had one in a crate that just needed to be prepped and get the 3rd function kit added. I already have 5 hours on the tractor and it has exceeded my...

    Advice for tractor newbie

Just an update on this. I ended up placing the order for the L2501 and the implements. As tempting as the two larger tractors were, i couldn't justify the additional $14,000 after factoring in the extra costs for their implements and the additional tax etc. I will just wait longer. I will update...

    Advice for tractor newbie

I've put a deposit down on a Kubota now, with the ability to change between models once I see them in person, but I'm still waiting for the L4060 to come in. I mentioned to the dealer that I would like to see that side by side with the smaller L series, and as well as a MX5400 that they still...

    Advice for tractor newbie

I think the L4060LE will end up costing 35k-40k with the options and the few implements I need ( but no grapple) For reference, I drive a 13 year old car and this will be the most expensive thing I've purchased other than real estate. I'm telling myself to look at it as an investment though...

    Advice for tractor newbie

Ok thanks for this info. Does anyone know the height of the L4060 with the ROPS folded down? Low enough to fit into a standard garage?
