    Figured it out! The “neutral safety switch” was bent out of place and not making contact. Bent it back and it started right up. Thanks guys, now to go learn how to use a multimeter for the future!

    It has a manual gear transmission. Dumb question: What setting do I need to have the multimeter on, and other than the starter solenoid, what do I attach the other clamp to?

    I have an L2800 with 300hrs on it. The tractor does not start when the key is turned to the “start” position, only clicks and dash lights turn on. I can however start the tractor using a jumper with from the battery wire to the starter, and I can turn off the tractor using the key. I’ve checked...
