Thank you, I will try that. There is a vent on the 3 point, but not sure if it is in the cylinder. I'll have to look around for convenient areas to vent the air. This is an open center system, so I figured it would eventually work the air through the system itself

You know, now that you mention it, I was noticing a noise coming from the pump that sounded kinda like air. Almost like the sound of air escaping from a tire or something. There are 2 orings and a rubber hose on that suction side. Time to check those and tighten the clamps and see.

No, I didn't, I think I have to take the whole assembly apart. You can't "push" the piston out, because pushing makes it go back in. You have to pull it, and there's noting to grab on to. So, I think the whole housing must come off to be able to push it out.

I have the manual, but I'm unclear as to how to get the piston out. Do I have to remove the entire assembly? it doesn't really say how to get it out
