    Perspective on Covid

Friend of mine shared this link with me. Whatever our thoughts or biases are, thought this was worth listening to.

    L5240 Oil pan

I have an L2250, I happened to knock a hole into my oil pan this past spring. Cost for a new pan was going to be $482.00 Canadien. I brought it to my local weld/machine shop, he charged me $150.00 to weld the cast aluminum pan. Seems to hold oil just fine so far.

    What's cookin' boys?

What IT do you go for on the Brisket? I put a Brisket on my Traeger Friday night just before midnight. Temp. set at 180 till 8:00 am, bumped it up to 225 till 4:00 pm, then bumped it up to 275 until 5:45, for a grand total of 18 hrs. Wrapped and set in cooler for an hour, and then dig into it...

    Oil pan repair?

I guess you could call it the right tool for the right job. I picked up a sturdy putty knife with a sharp edge at my local auto parts store, gave it a couple of taps, and she came down. I was frustrated and exhausted with the wrong tool in hand the evening when I first tried. Those are the times...

    Oil pan repair?

I gave up for tonight. I tried tapping a pry bar with a hammer between the pan and engine block with no success. It's held on there really well. Will give a try again in the morning. If all else fails, will see if my welding service can repair it in place, not sure if that would be wise though?

    Oil pan repair?

Just knocked a hole into my L2250 oil pan. New pan price in South Western Ontario is $482.00. Anyone here ever repair the pan, assuming I might not be the first one to ever damage one? Magnet won't stick to it, so assuming it's made out of aluminum. Will be removing it from the tractor after...

    How did this happen?

They say "The older you get, the more birthdays you have" or " the more birthdays you have the older you get". Or "Age is a matter of mind, if you don't mind, it doesn't matter."

Ford vs Ferrari Tiller for L3560

I can't speak to which brand of tiller might be the better one. I have an L2250 with 26.5 HP at the engine, 21 HP at the PTO. I run a 66" tiller behind my L2250 with no power issues. I think type of soil conditions will also play a factor as to how wide an implement your tractor will be able to...

    Safety shields

I run a 66" tiller to work up my garden and at times I have not shut the tractor down when connecting or disconnecting the PTO to or from the PTO shaft. My sister lost her husband to a totally preventable situation related to a powered piece of equipment just before Christmas. My Tractor will...

    Allis-Chalmers weekend gatering

    I have owned a couple, a 416 and a 919. I really have no practical use for one, but I wouldn't mine owning a D21!
