    JDQA snow pusher on BX23s

Agreed on the chains! first couple of things I did on my steep hillside, install back wheel spacers and chains for the winter. I also got some screw in studs for the front wheels that seem to help a little.

    JDQA snow pusher on BX23s

That's kinda what I was looking for here. I'd say in general yes, if the snow is that much I'll just turn around and use the blower on the back. Like for instance, right now the snow has been so light that I'm using a leaf blower to clear my patio. I think I'll continue to hold off on it, I...

    JDQA snow pusher on BX23s

The pusher is 60" so wider than my bucket which is 48" (I think) on the BX-23s. I checked at the company I bought the tractor from. They have snow pushers but want $2700 for them (apparently commercial grade Land Pride ones). This one for sale is a Frontier model with a steel back drag bar and...

    JDQA snow pusher on BX23s

That's how I felt. I guess I was just wondering if anyone had an opinion on how much better a snow pusher is than a bucket (I know they are....), but when you have a blower on the back anyway. If I didn't have the blower, I wouldn't be asking this because the bucket is pretty terrible for...

    JDQA snow pusher on BX23s

We probably get more buildup over the winter, but per storm anything over 12" is very rare. No pavement I'm dealing with either, just dirt/gravel driveways so we let a base layer build up and then plow/blow on top of the 1st 3-4". I usually plow with my SxS (another story with that plow mounting...

    JDQA snow pusher on BX23s

No opinions on a snow pusher vs bucket.......when you have a rear mounted blower?

Compatible Front Mount SnowBlowers for BX

I think I ended up deleting the link in my 'favorites' folder, but...... I found a post on ? (tractor.net maybe?) and a guy there had got a 2750b and put it on a BX23s/80 series BX. Apparently, he just used the 70 series front attachment/shafts/etc and it just bolted up. The only downside is on...

    JDQA snow pusher on BX23s

I'm in Fairbanks, Alaska so the idea of being able to just go get a SSQA down the road doesn't apply. There's a 60" JDQA snow pusher for sale here, I'm thinking of getting it and welding a SSQA plate on it to use with my BX. Opinions? I already have a SSQA plate to use. I think I may have to cut...

    BX23S to BX2750D

I read on another thread that the only 'problem' is that you can't open the hood all the way on an 80 series BX with the older K connect system on it. Is that true?

    Tractor loses power

Yeah, the weird thing with my BX when it does that, is that removing the cap won't 'fix' it. But disconnecting the fuel line from the electric fuel pump, turning on the ignition and making sure the pump works (it'll be pumping out fuel onto the ground). Then hooking the line back up and the...

    Tractor loses power

My BX23s has done similar things and so far I'm pretty convinced it's the fuel tank cap vent....not venting due to being iced up. For some reason, even loosening the cap doesn't 'fix' the stumbling/stalling issue. But, when I pulled the vent apart and made sure it was clear, it seems to have...

Stupid Tractor Newbie question about snow depth

Also, (I pretty sure you can do this on a Front blower) have you tried going into the snow until the tractor stops, and then moving the snowblower up to break up the top layer (probably above the snowblower) and letting it feed into the blower that way? I had to do that in the 2.5' areas of that...

Stupid Tractor Newbie question about snow depth

Well, maybe you can push a back blade through 3' of snow. It'd depend on how heavy your back blade is. My BX setup certainly wouldn't do it. My back blade is pretty good for cleaning up though

Stupid Tractor Newbie question about snow depth

agree with everyone above, an FEL to start to bust it up is your best bet. That is one benefit (besides the price) of a 3ph blower with an FEL up front. We had similar conditions here in Alaska (snow, rain?, snow) and I was able to get someone's driveway done (2-2.5' cover) with the snowblower...

    SxS SSQA plow attachment

I like the 72" length, two passes on the driveway and it's plenty wide. Plus, the SxS is actually a little nicer/quicker to use so I'll attempt to 'once again' fix the winch mount in a way that will hold up. Challenging conditions? Nah it was almost +30f yesterday!!
