Make sure you have the "ticking" sound during glow plugs key on! These BX machines will run WITHOUT the lift pump working....... with more than a 1/2 tank of fuel.:ROFLMAO:

Red dyed is 100% the same as on road ........ just the red dye is the difference. AND - the red diesel is "off road" diesel - not taxed as gas is for highway use. In your cold climate - a dose of additive is highly recommended - you pick any you think will keep from gelling.

I had on exactly like this at a friends house - lots of liquid wrench (or whatever) and a BFH. Tap on one end - then the other, and play the dance back forth song. Rock the thumb arm as you oil and hit with hammer It will move. Heat will mess up things ......... not easily fixed!

I find NOTHING intuitive about the side by side pedals !!!!!!! I have to "drive" a 50 hp JD at work, the pedals are side by side - big feet - big boots, hell the computer goes bananas IF you somehow hit the two at the same time. I know many of you do NOT like the back and forth of the rocker...

There is STILL bad rep on synthetic oils - from break ins, to switching etc. I use synthetics in everything - Mobil 1, T6 and Amsoil. There really is NO reason NOT to use synthetic oil. This guy has forgot more about oil than most know - he does it the old fashion way - via science!!!

Standard UDT would be fine for that geared tractor. You need 2 five gallon buckets - 6 gallon min needed, more if you have FEL If new to you, may want to start fresh and drain old oil. Changing the elongated oil screen would be prudent too. Cost $22 I would change every 200-400 hours

So, lets get down to numbers - there are those that think and engine should run "cool" - what ever that temp is !!!! Best and ONLY way is to measure the temp at three locations. First - measure with an infrared thermometer at the thermostat - should be 180 ish .......... most open at 160...
