Thank you - so I tried low rpm and the tractor stalled. Had to be up around 2500 to get it going. Shaft turns by hand just fine.

Is anyone running one of these chipper/shredders on a pto less than 25hp? My BX23s bogs down almost to stall when I activate the pto and doesnt seem right to me. Curious if anyone has any similar or different experience. They are the same exact units, but the bearcat says min 25hp at the pto...

Does anyone have a bearcat chipper/shredder? would be great to hear your experience. Hoping to make a decision in the next couple days. Thanks.

Hello - I have been looking for a chipper for my bx23s and came across a bearcat sc5540 a friend has that is barely used for $1000. Great deal based on what they cost new. Bearcat says it needs a minimum 25 hp at the pto and I have just about 18. He let me borrow it to try and see how it...
