I was moving snow yesterday mostly with the FEl and a few minutes with the PTO snowblower, once the tractor was put away I noticed the site glass on the side of the transmission was milky(ouch),now,I am trying to find out what kind of oil is in this unit,it has a spin on filter on top of the pump,I have looked at WSM to try and figure it out (L185,L245,L275)so far for the hydraulics the L275 is winning, the next question is where did the water get into the system, pretty sure it wasnt like this last summer, thanks in advance folks.

That model you could use just about any fluid, nothing fancy in it.

Most just stick with UDT
Mystik JT5 is what I use.
Just NO 303 or any other super cheap fluid, you'll have major issues down the line.

Shifter boots, vents and bad seals on caps are normal culprits for water in the system.
