Hello all,
First of all, sorry if this is the wrong place for these questions. First time using this site.
I just purchased a 2007 L48 kubota. I heard they have a few models of the "L48," curious how you find out exactly what model it is OR if that's true?

Also, curious if this tractor is equipped with the auto-leveling feature. I heard the feature is a problem vs a help? Again, unsure how to figure out if it is or not?
Thanks all, ahead of time!

As far as I know most L48's were sold as a TLB setup (Tractor, loader, Backhoe) with a fixed front loader that's not removable.

My dad's 2002 L48 has the auto leveling I believe. It works ok but not amazingly.

All L48 tractors are the same (no revisions), but there are 3 different loaders and controls, all are self leveling (look on the loader for the label of the model).

All are auto leveling with no user control or feed back adjust-ability.
I wouldn't say they are problematic.

Ok, I was informed by a guy who works on and sells used Kubota tractors that there was an auto-leveling valve that would cause the loader to have NO lifting capacity. He said there is a "g" model which I wasn't sure existed. So out of curiosity I was wondering if it was a sales pitch or if there is truth behind it? AND if so, how do I know if the tractor I bought could have this problem?

He probably was talking about G in the Loader model #
Possible loader models for that tractor are:
TC1150
TC1150LC
TC1150SG

Look on the loader serial # / model # plate to verify which model you have.

Ok, thanks for the info.

Any preferences on types of hydraulic oil to use? Is the super udt the only kind that should be used? Also, engine oil?
