Howdy, I just became the proud owner/slave to a L345DT with a L1720 FEL and 4672 BH. The exhaust manifold has a couple of holes and I was wondering if a V1505 exhaust manifold will fit. From what I can search out there seems to be some interchangeability between the various V150X permutations. Thanks, Rob

Holes can generally be brazed or welded with stainless steel or nickel welding processes. Brazing is the easiest and most flexible.
There are a lot of shops out there that can handle this kind of issue and you don't have to get a new manifold.

Thanks. I considered the brazing/welding option, but the price on the new V1505 ($20) was far less than the hassle or expense in brazing the old one. So, we will see if it fits. If not...I'll take it from there and only be out a few bucks.
I speaking more of the idea of it possibly being a hassle to obtain a straight replacement part, which it seems like you are having a problem getting. I wasn't going to price.

My L305 had a nice crack in the exhaust manifold. I used my wire welder to weld it shut without taking anything off the tractor. Took about 15 minutes considering I had to dress it clean with a die grinder.
Not really a problem of finding a V1501 replacement. It is just that I had an opportunity to pick up the V1505 for considerable less money.
And the answer is: no the V1505 will not work because one set of bolt 'ears' is oriented the wrong way. This was an trial and error expense that could have been easily avoided by taking a closer look at the manifold pictures. Oh, well live and learn, eh?
