Does anyone know if a 5/16 chain hook fit through a 1/2 shackle?

You'll probably need to go to a hardware store for trial fit.

Also, the size of whatever the shackle fastens to will fill some of the loop, so account for that when you test in the store.

I went down to tractor supply and a 5/16 chain hook will not fit through a 1/2 shackle.
I am glad I found out before I received my order. I had to cancel the order and order bigger clevis mounts.

I am glad I went down to the store because I didn’t realize how small a 1/2 shackle is.
