Well we skated out this year for hurricanes. My old cart I actually bought with our first craftsman 16hp tractor. Three tractors later paint is shot and deck is starting to rust. Since I have a bigger tractor what is out there that will carry more than 22cu.ft?. That is about the largest carrying capacity I've seem. Not looking to break the bank. Frank

You looking for one of the dump carts to pull around with the tractor?

Frank:

We use our 4X8 utility trailer attached to the 3 point. The 3 point hitch is made to hook up a 2" ball. By doing that, we also have a "dump cart." We have hauled firewood, leaves, branches and stuff. Lifting the 3 point enough, the contents slide out, especially if on a tarp

Any smaller trailer would be kind of senseless in our opinion. We do have a small cart that we use behind our ATV but the big one gets the job done and is sturdy.
Our trailer is roadworthy and is made by a company here in the NW.

We used the 4X8 to move most of our stuff when moving here from another location and use it often for hauling various items like lumber, etc....it will fit a full 4X8 sheet of plywood or 8 foot lumber and has a tonneau cover that can keep out most of the rain if it is raining.

The trailer is made in Oregon by Iron Eagle. It has paid for itself over and over again.

One thing I often read in this forum is that guys want something that will do multiple tasks. This little trailer is one that does. Your L3800 will handle this one or a similar one. The model we have is called "Voyager." Tractor adage number 3..."When in doubt, go bigger."

Not looking for a dump cart such as the Polar brand as sold by Northern tool. I'll probably get one of the trailers like the ones sold by lowe's. I don't have a hitch setup on the truck and my friend has offered to tow it home. Really stinks with the little cart as when doing cleanup after a storm it will only hold about 4-5 garbage bags of leaves and junk. Gets old real quick loading and unloading. Thanks for the suggestions. Frank

This is what I got for hauling yard clean ups and such. I pull it with my Yamaha Rhino or I can use my pickup. It works well and I don't have back pain after unloading. Not exactly cheap but fits my needs. It can go behind the pickup and get a load of rock, sand, mulch etc then be switched to the Rhino or a tractor to get into tight areas in the yard. I have the light kit to make it street legal and the battery for the dump is on the trailer so I don't have to worry what I am towing with.

I picked up an older pickup bed trailer made from an old Ford Courrier compact pickup for a couple hundred off Craig's List, added side boards, and a tool box on the front A-frame. I can pull it with my BX2360, or either of my trucks, so it's very versatile. Thinking about adding a sub-frame and a dump function later on.

PS: New to the forum, this is my first post. What a great site!

Welcome aboard! I looked for a compact pickup trailer conversion (toyota or nissan) for a long time, but they're rare as hen's teeth out here. A pic would be nice, we love "tractor porn" around here. :D

For those wondering about the Polar trailers...

I have a 6x8 flatbed converted moto trailer. Great size and roadworthy. But we needed something for trimming trees and yard clean up every Spring. The Polar 1500 is amazingly light, easy to load and unload, and with a hitch welded on the tongue, it pulls fine behind the tractor. We extended the tongue about 18" when we mounted the hitch. Makes backing up easier and clears the rear tires in a 90 degree turn.

The nice thing about the super-light trailers is you can drag the trailer out to the work site behind the tractor, then unhitch it and wheel the trailer to the tree and move it along so easily. Then, when done, hitch it back up and haul it home.

Not cheap but the best little trailer I have used. Very happy with it.
