Well I am at 10 hours and checked levels. Hydraulic oil is low. I know my old 7.3 was picky about what oil I used and brand and my little Fiat only likes synthetic but does brand matter on a new BX25D1? Manual only states Kubota Super UDT-2. Not exactly available everywhere close by but worth the drive if it matters.

Yes in this case it 100% matters! ;)
Stick with the Super UDT2.

Yes I understand the need for Super UDT2 but TSC and Chevron also have a Super UDT2 oil as well now. I have read how the BX runs hotter and the other hyd oils will not hold up.

I wouldn't use TSC if you paid me, as I've seen too may of their products not live up to their specs.
Chevron Synthetic All-Weather THF might be fine, I just have not known anyone that has used it.
I use Mystik JT5 in my GST and have for many years, I also know of others that have it in there BX25D's and they have all reported very favorable results.
It is not a synthetic fluid but seams to be very stable in very hot and very cold work situations.
You could use just about anything compatible, but in the long run, is it worth the risk of extreme expense of premature repair bills.

Went back to the dealer and bought Kubota Oil. Pricing it was cheaper to buy by the gallon. 2 gallon jugs were most per gallon fivers not much better. About 20.50 a gallon in 1 gal jugs.

Sometimes I make things too complicated.
