I have a question on the Kubota V1702 idi engine, can you convert it to a di engine keeping the idi engine block, crankshaft, rods, and just swap out the head, pistons, and whatever else parts maybe different.

Simple answer is no you can't.
Why do you want to change it over?
Do you have issues with the engine now?
I have a semi complete V1702 in parts, that I swapped out for a V2203 in my 743 Bobcat.

I have to rebuild a V1702 in the future, and I was just curious because it can be done on a Perkins which I am more familiar with.

You might look at doing a swap to a V2203 over doing a rebuild on the V1702.
I priced it all out and came out far cheaper doing a swap and I got the bonus of a DI engine and a lot more available HP.

Is not the V2203 an IDI engine? The V2403 in my L5740 is IDI.
The V2203 had several versions, some IDI some DI. The engine North Idaho Wolfman installed in his Bobcat is a DI. I'm sure he will confirm.
I removed a Perkins 4108 from a Bobcat 825 and installed a V2203 DI, so I know they exist.

Yes my Bobcat has a Newer version 51 HP V2203
There is 5 variations (along with a ton of sub models of those variations) that I know of to the V2203 engines

The injectors and the pipes will be different in each different engine.
Also the serial# on the block right next to the injection pump will tell you.
