Tier 4 Emissions on Grand 4060 Tractor

Looking at buying a new 2014 Grand L60 Series, 4060 HSTC.
From what I have told by dealers, the tractor needs to regenerate when needed to clean the DPF(diesel particulate filter), this involves the new catalytic converter and a high idle period of time.
My question, is this a reliable system and what problems have dealers seen being brought in for service.
There are no 2013 Grand 4040's HSTC available in MI that I am aware of OR I would buy one.
This is a large purchase for me and I would hope that Kubota has this technology figured out.
Also, has this system been on any prior year tractors? If so, what has that experience been.

I have the M8560 which has all of the same emissions stuff on it. I have approx. 195 hrs on it with no problems so far. The regen procedure has yet to be an inconvenience. The tractor so far regens on avg every 15-20hrs. I always operate the tractor in "auto" regen mode at around 1800-1900 RPM's which is sufficient for the high idle period during a regen. Point being if I didn't constantly watch the gauges I would never notice the tractor going through the regen process. When I bought the tractor I was one of the first to buy a model with the DPF so I can't speak for what kind of troubles the dealers have had with them. I could see how if some one does not understand how the system works, and not meet the system requirements when a regen is needed one could cause the tractor to go into "limp" mode.

Almost sounds like the bigger tractors do better with it than the little ones. At least that's my observation from this and a couple other threads. Me, I'm happy i found a used 2013 L3940. I'll take the dirty FEL arms.

I also have heard in the last few days not to idle or "lug" this tractor, by dealers
Running it always in the regen rpm range is a good thing, then the process is seamless....
