Yea...the ones about not standing between the tractor and the implement particularly. Today I learned they aren't there for decoration only.

Like an idiot I was trying to nudge my back blade onto my quick hitch (the top hook was binding) and tried to lift it up a bit to help it on. Next thing I knew it fell off, the blade hit my right ankle bone on it's way down and landed on my foot. I was at a weird angle at the time so had to twist around to lift it off my foot and gave myself a back sprain to go with gnarled ankle bone and sore foot. :( Luckily nothing seems to be broken.

So yea...don't get between the tractor and implement and do stupid stuff like I did. I won't ever try something like that again!

Glad you didn't injure yourself too badly. Could you have just adjusted the length of your top link (in or out) to get your back blade to settle in?

Glad you survived, and whilst they don't always stop an injury, steel capped boots are mandatory AFAIAC.
