My steering wheel rotates 1/3 of the way before engaging the wheels so I was looking through the parts breakdown on Messicks trying to make a list of what all was needed to rebuild a steering box.

This was all i came up with

34150-16220 BEARING (x2)

34150-16420 GASKET

09500-26387 SEAL OIL(TC26387)

09500-19328 SEAL OIL(TC19328)

If the internal hard parts are good to go is this all i need?

does the upper bearing, the one above the ballnut, come already installed on the shaft?

I can't seem to remove the old one so it plows me on figuring how the new one would go on the shaft?

Imagine that!

Thanks Vic!

If you will entertain just one more question from the village idiot, I'd be obliged.

The alignment marks on the end of the sector shaft.

Does it go all the way across the width? -0-

What happens if the line on the pitman arm isn't in line with those on the sector shaft?
